Repair and Vulcanization

OTR, Earthmoving, Industrial, Forklift, and Aerial Work Platform Tires

At OTREM, we help you save on tire costs by repairing and hot vulcanizing damaged and worn-out tires in our own autoclave. This eliminates the need to purchase new tires and extends the lifespan of your current ones.

Our repair and vulcanization service not only reduces costs but also minimizes downtime. With our expertise, experience, and craftsmanship, we ensure fast, durable, and reliable repairs — a service our loyal customers have trusted for years.

In addition to large earthmoving tires, we also repair forklift and aerial work platform tires, including PU-filled tires (also known as foam- or mousse-filled tires). Even in cases of severe damage, such as a torn-off tread block, we restore the tire’s full functionality through expert hot vulcanization.

Thanks to our efficient workflow, in-house transport service, and short turnaround times, you are guaranteed fast and professional service. We think along with you and ensure your machines are back up and running as quickly as possible — at a fraction of the cost of new tires.

The Benefits of Hot Air Vulcanization for Tyre Repairs

At OTREM, we use a specialized hot air vulcanization process, unlike many of our competitors who rely on steam. This dry heat method ensures a much stronger bond between the repair rubber and the tyre casing.

Thanks to our use of dry hot air:

  • There is no moisture or rust formation inside the autoclave.

  • Water or steam cannot penetrate the repair area or casing.

  • The result is a higher-quality repair with optimal adhesion and durability.

Because we vulcanize in-house using our own autoclave, waiting times are minimal, and we can make your tyre operational again in no time.

Our Hot Vulcanization Repairs Are Resistant To:

  • Heavy loads

  • Wear and tear

  • Ageing

The repair and vulcanization process includes the following steps:

  1. The tire can be brought to our workshop, or we can pick it up from your location.

  2. Inspection and assessment of the damage.

  3. A no-obligation price quote.

  4. Carefully grinding the damaged areas.

  5. Removing cracks and rusty steel wires.

  6. Fitting a patch to the damaged area, restoring the tire’s strength, stability, and load capacity. We have a wide range of patches for various types of damage, and we accurately calculate which patch is suitable for the repair.

  7. The tire is then vulcanized in our own hot air autoclave, which can accommodate tires up to 57 inches. After several hours of vulcanization at the correct pressure and temperature, the tire is fully operational again.
